Listen to your feelings
Did you ever wonder why people say "go with what your gut tells you"? I was thinking about this because of my husband, Mark. Wow, I am married! I believe it's because I listened to my gut feelings and my heart. When the gut and heart speaks to you, something changes physiologically (chemically) inside you. (2) You might get stomach cramps, feel uncomfortable, or feel all funny or good inside. The intestinal tract and heart actually have memory. These memories are felt with unusual feelings. These feelings occur because of the result of a situation, in the present, or, in the past. (1) Is there a situation you are thinking of doing something about? What does your gut tell you? What do you feel in your heart?
We create our own boundaries and limitations. Visualize what you want and need in life. Own your dreams. If you can't dream it you can't achieve it. "Think of life as a piece of marble". Chip away as much as you can, that which is irritating or uncomfortable, and you have molded a wonderful, happy, healthy life. Make changes and recreate a new life-style.
What does your gut tell you about your Health Care (and I am not referring to hunger pains)? There are 2 philosophies in heath care. The first is the mechanistic philosophy, which says all your body organs function separately, not as a whole. This is our medical model and philosophy. That is why there are specialists in the medical field. The other view is called the vitalistic, the force that animates and perpetuates living beings and organisms. (3) This approach states there is an internal energy that controls the entire body and works as a whole. This is the chiropractic philosophy. Can chiropractic help you? Our bodies as a whole can be influenced by our emotions and the environment. There is new evidence that the direction your genes may take can be changed by environmental and behavioral influences. For example, if you have heart disease or breast cancer in your family, the likelihood of you developing problems in these areas can possibly be changed by your life-style choices and emotional health. This theory is called epigenetics. (1)
What choices will you make? I read that Americans spent $155 billion on junk bonds last year. I think they meant Americans spent billions on junk food. But, junk food is really not food now is it? Come to a weekly information talk and learn more about how you and your family can benefit from being proactive about your health. This talk could help give you an understanding of another philosophy of health care. Make an appointment for a courtesy consultation. Thank you 904.644.8100
